The top young directors graduated this year from all the different universities in Lebanon, will be competing again in “Cinemaiyat Film Festival 2010”, organized by AlMidan Association, to win the apple awards, with the cooperation of Goethe-Institut Lebanon, and the Polish Embassy in Lebanon, and Cedrona Foundation For Culture. The festival will be rich with Two International nights (German and Polish), and one Lebanese night, will start on the 26th of August, till the 29th. This year, a new prize called “The Public Prize” will be launched. Cinemaiyat will give the audiences and a young jury a role in choosing their favorite movie.
Schedule of the festival: 26-27-28-29 August: Thursday 26: 7pm: screening for the students short film 8.30pm: Screening the German movie “Yella”, directed by Christian Pitzolt.
Friday 27: 7pm: screening for the students short film 8.30pm: Screening a Polish movie for “Chopin”, “Desire for Love”, directed by Jerzy Antczak.
Saturday 28: 7pm: screening for the students short film 8.30pm: Screening the Lebanese movie “Gibran”, directed by Samir Habchi. The Golden Apple Award Ceremony, held at Al Koubra historical building, in Ehden, will be the final stage of our festival, in which all the awards will be distributed: Golden apple awards:Trip to Berlin film festival

Bronze apple awards: professional camera.
N.B. The public prize is a trip to Krakov Film Festival.
