In the first year, the "Golden Apple Award" was granted to the best short movies done by young Lebanese directors.

To enlarge the scope of participation all concerned universities were invited to nominate three of their best Graduation Short Movies for the years 2002, 2003 and 2004.

.In addition, the "Lifetime Achievement Award" of $ 10,000 which goes to an esteemed and revered Lebanese Actor.
