The last set of student films was screened on Saturday the 28th of August 2010, which finalizes the screening process of all the participating student short films in Cinemaiyat this year, competing over the first three prizes, and that granted by the audience to one of the participating directors. |

The second day of Cinemaiyat, Friday the 27th of August 2010, was also loaded with educational and artistic activities. In this evening, the second set of the participating student films was screened, in the middle of a notably overwhelming audience, who filled both, the screening whole and the outer square of “Al Kobra” as well. And the participating short films were: |

Thursday the 26th of August 2010 witnessed the inauguration of Cinemaiyat Film Festival for this year, where students and film makers coming for the different areas gathered at the “Kobra” historical building, in order to watch the first set of student films participating in this festival, and they were eight: |

Cinemaiyat Film Festival jury committee has made a closed meeting on Thursday the 12th of August, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Beirut. |

The top young directors graduated this year from all the different universities in Lebanon, will be competing again in “Cinemaiyat Film Festival 2010”, organized by AlMidan Association, to win the apple awards, with the cooperation of Goethe-Institut Lebanon, and the Polish Embassy in Lebanon, and Cedrona Foundation For Culture. The festival will be rich with Two International nights (German and Polish), and one Lebanese night, will start on the 26th of August, till the 29th. This year, a new prize called “The Public Prize” will be launched. Cinemaiyat will give the audiences and a young jury a role in choosing their favorite movie.

Babel Theater in Hamra Street, was the place where “Cinemaiyat” has launched one of its winter events. This time, “Cinemaiyat”, a part of AlMidan Association, headed by Mrs. Rima Sleiman Frangieh, has invited professors and students from arts and theater colleges of all universities in Lebanon, to attend the theater play, “The Two Servants” ( Al Khadematein). Another great work for director Mr. Jawad Al Assadi, and actresses Nada Bou Farhat and Nicole Abboud. The play is written by Mr. Jean Jenet, whom is famous for human and social subjects. |

From October 14th till October 23rd, 2009, Cinemaiyat hosted in Ehden a workshop, organized by Beirut DC, partnering with ARTE, Dubai Film Festival, GOETHE Institute, & Cinemaiyat, for the project “Two Side of the coin”. |
